Today, the team took to their Google Plus page to post a teaser video of the new Immersive mode in Paranoid Android. In KitKat, Google has introduced a new Immersive mode that allows apps to hide the status bar and navigation bar for better experience.
In the v4.0 of their ROM, the PA team will be introducing a system wide Immersive mode that will allow users to permanently hide the status and navigation bars. The status and navigation bar can be accessed anytime by simply swiping from the top or bottom of the device. When they do pop-up, they will be completely transparent allowing the information beneath them to be still clearly visible. Do check the video above to get a clear idea of how the new Immersive mode works. The Paranoid Android team has not given any ETA as to when they will release the first build based on KitKat, but looking at their progress, an alpha build should be available by the end of this month.
