Pebble has posted a note on its Kickstarter page to confirm that, as promised, shipments of the E-Paper watch have begun to first backers. After a sizing kit arrived and I settled in on a size 12 ring, an evaluation unit arrived and has been mounted on my right and left ring finger for just over two weeks. Oura recommends mounting the Ring 3 on the index or middle finger, but size 13 did not fit my middle finger and I couldn’t comfortably bend my index finger with the size 13 sizing ring. When Apple unveiled the Touch ID API during its WWDC keynote earlier this week, users and developers alike immediately started considering possible uses. It seems PayPal was also quite interested in putting the fingerprint technology to work in its mobile app. According to Business Insider, several PayPal developers attended a WWDC session on the new API and the company is actively considering its implementation. Heads up to all El Capitan users: OS X 10.11.3 is now available through the Mac App Store. Apple released the first developer beta version of the software update in mid-December after shipping OS X 10.11.2 earlier in the month. The second OS X 10.11.3 beta followed at the start of January. Apple has since started testing OS X 10.11.4. As the version number suggests, OS X 10.11.3 so far hasn’t included any major feature changes or enhancements, although we’ll update our coverage if anything significant is discovered....
Apple has officially released the OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan update through the Mac App Store. The software update is available for all Macs capable of running OS X 10.11. The Mac update delivers new features including Live Photo viewing and sharing through iMessage using the Messages app as well as secure password support for individual notes in the Notes app. Prior to OS X 10.11.4, the Mac could only view Live Photos through the Photos app and in limited situations....
