Remember Palm? Last we heard, TCL was planning on resurrecting the brand and prepared to launch a variety of devices throughout this year. That didn’t happen, but Palm isn’t down and out yet. That’s because Palm is back and brand new, having bought the brand from TCL. This company is based out of California, and it’s launching its first product with the Palm brand on back in November. This device is technically a phone, but Palm is positioning it more like a companion device....

Will Pearson season 2 happen and, if so, what will it be about? Created by Aaron Korsh and Daniel Arkin, the USA series is a spinoff of the popular show Suits. Pearson season 1 aired from July to September 2019. Pearson stars Gina Torres as the title character Jessica Pearson - the former managing partner of Pearson Specter Litt and a main character from Suits’ original nine-season run. In the spinoff, Pearson gets mixed up in corrupt Chicago politics while working for Mayor Bobby Novak (Morgan Spector)....

Like Pathfinder: Kingmaker before it, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is taking to Kickstarter for a crowdfunding push leading up to its release. In the realm of tabletop RPGs inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, few are as revered as Pathfinder. Created in 2009 as an alternative to the legendary pen and paper game, Pathfinder is based on earlier versions of D&D and has since expanded to include its own lore and spinoff media, from novels and card games to, naturally, video games....

So you’ve recently purchased one of the brand spanking new iMacs that come with the latest hardware. The machine would be perfect if it weren’t for its standard 4GB RAM that begs to be upgraded? While you can build-to-order your machine at the online Apple store with up to 16GB RAM, it probably isn’t your most prudent choice given the company’s steep pricing for memory upgrades. For example, Apple still thinks four 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM modules (for a total of 16GB RAM) are worth six hundred dollars....

Less than a month ago, the Paranoid Android team introduced a new Recents Style view in their ROM, which was inspired from Android L. The team has since then been rolling out alpha and beta builds to improve the latest addition to its build, and make it usable for day-to-day usage. Today, the PA team has rolled out another beta of their ROM that brings about some design improvements to their new Recents Style view....

Funny, disturbing, and heartbreaking all at once, Parasite finds Bong in top form as a storyteller, delivering a film like no other this year. Parasite is not only one of the best movies of 2019, it’s a film that (as you might’ve heard by now) is better experienced going in knowing as little as possible. A Palme d’Or winner from South Korean writer-director Bong Joon-ho of The Host, Snowpiercer, and Okja fame (among others), Parasite is a daringly original work that defies being boxed into a single genre, combining dark social satire with more than a touch of horror, a thriller, and tragedy all in one....

Apple has applied for a patent for a method of waterproofing the internal components of ‘computing devices.’ The application, filed last year but only published today (via AppleInsider), does not name any specific devices, but the iPhone would be the most logical candidate … We’re sure you know our patent disclaimer by heart by now: Apple files patent applications more often than you or I eat breakfast, and only a minority of them ever make it into production....

Pandora has announced new integration with Instagram today that makes it easy to share music and podcasts to your Instagram Stories. In a blog post, Pandora detailed the new feature and said it’s rolling out now to a “limited” selection of users, and will come to everyone within the next several weeks. To share your Pandora song to Instagram, simply tap the the “Share” button in the Pandora app, then choose the new “Instagram Stories” option....

Parallels, the virtualization software famous for being able to run Windows on the Mac, is celebrating its 10 years of innovation this week. Parallels has seen a cornucopia of changes since its initial launch in 2006 and it shows no signs of slowing down. Today marks the 10th anniversary since Parallels’ launch and they’ve decided to spend the next week highlighting the decade of features that made its way onto the Mac....

On your Mac, navigate to System Preferences » Internet and Wireless and click the iCloud icon. Enter your Apple ID and password to set up iCloud for use with contacts, calendars, and bookmarks. In the iCloud control panel, make sure Calendars is checked. Next, open Safari, log into your Google Account and open your calendar. Click the gear icon then select Calendar Settings. One of the areas of my HomeKit lighting setup that I ignored for a long time was outdoors. We honestly didn’t have a real need until recently when we got a new puppy. If you’ve ever had a puppy, you know that a lot of time is spent outdoors trying to train the dog to use the bathroom outside. Chitikia is out with a report today with OS X adoption numbers for the five months since Apple released its latest major software update to the desktop and notebook last October. According to the report, a record 40% of Mac users have upgraded to OS X 10.9 Mavericks since its release. For perspective, that’s 6% higher than OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion reached in a 14-month period. The acceleration in adoption is largely attributed to Apple adopting the iOS upgrade model and making OS X Mavericks a free software update for users rather than charging between $20 and $130 as previous updates had seen....

The popular PCalc calculator app has received a great update for Mac today. The latest version brings a full-on button layout editor to create the exact calculator you want on your Mac – including customization of the menu bar widget. Other new changes include widget layouts available to use in the main app, the ability to resize button layouts, and more. PCalc creator James Thomson shared the news on Twitter as the update landed on the Mac App Store....
