Paranoid Android Returns With Android 7 1 2 Builds For Pixel Nexus And Oneplus 3T Features Pie Controls Color Engine And More

Paranoid Android, the custom ROM which was once known for bringing innovative new features to the table, is now making a comeback with its Nougat flavor. Unlike before, Paranoid Android’s 2017 release is only available for a handful of devices which includes devices from OnePlus and Google’s Nexus and Pixel smartphones.

The team notes that it has moved its ROM to be fully based on CAF that should allow for better performance and user experience. In typical Paranoid Android style, the ROM comes with a beautiful new boot screen and wallpaper along with some tweaks and enhancements to the UI here and there for an improved user experience. Paranoid Android’s renowned feature, Pie controls, are also present in the ROM. The team has worked on revamping the feature so that it fits in well with Google’s Material Design and promises to keep improving it in the future. Another key new addition to the ROM is the Color Engine that lets one change the color of the System UI to their liking, which essentially acts as changing the theme of your device without having to hunt for themes. There are also come device specific features like a custom camera HAL for the OnePlus 3T for improved image quality, off-screen gestures, sRGB support, aptX and aptX HD support, and more.
