Following seven days on the run, Orlando Pirates protector Patrick Phungwayo supposedly went himself to the police. The 29-year-old left-back is blamed for endeavored murder and pointing a firearm at a man in Spruitview, east of Johannesburg.

Subsequent to being looked for by police for an occurrence, Phungwayo is accepted to have handed himself over at the Katlehong police headquarters on Monday morning. Phungwayo and his brother, Phelelani, supposedly attacked the man prior to taking out a firearm and firing him on the ring finger.

During the May Day weekend, Phungwayo and his brother, Phelelani Aubrey Phungwayo, were at a party in Spruitview, east of Johannesburg, when they got into a battle with another man.

The man is said to have been attacked and taken shots at. The slug hit his ring finger. The Pirates’ left-back and his brother were captured on Monday, however police couldn’t find the gun utilized in the occurrence.
